Thriftdweller's TOP 5 Video Game Room Awards!

A space should be a reflection of it's owner! If you follow us on facebook or youtube, you'll know that I (Nate) have been in the process of moving. Due to many delays, I've had a lot of time to plan out my NEW video game room or library. I've been watching a lot of videos trying to get inspiration and I've compiled our offical Top 5 Video Game Rooms on youtube. I explain why and what I like about each room under each video (after the jump). Well, let me point out what I would do diffrently! Source: www. IGN.com I've decided to finialze my future room in the following words: -Organized (good large ammount of storage) -Clean (light color shelves, de-cluttered) -Visually pleasing (uniformed, framed art, conrasting crisp colors) -Archival Library (2 functions: storage and 1/2 player space) We'll keep you posted on the progress of my room. In the mean time, check out the Thriftdweller TOP 5 Video Game Rooms!

Mega Man the Wily Wars to be released in North Ameria!

AT Games is releasing another portable gaming system the Ultimate Portable Game Player. Diffrent from previous similar releases because, among the 80 Built In Games is the uncommon Mega Man the Wily Wars , a 16 bit re-make of the first 3 original NES Mega Man titles. You may never have heard of this game because it was only relased on the Sega Mega Drive in Japan and Europe in the mid 90's... Until now! Color me excited when I heard this was being released in the USA in Early November. No word on where it can be available in Canada, but hopefully local distributers will carry it! We'll keep you posted! After the Jump: Classic Game Room's review on Mega Man, the Wily Wars!

Nintendo - The Thriftdweller Perspective

Since the Thriftdwellers have been slowing down in the pick ups, we've had more time to reflect on the items of the past which have meant a lot and shaped our current existance. The Nintendo Entertainment System was the height of video games at home in the 80's and early 90's. With games like Contra, Super Mario and POW, the Nintendo (NES) was felt everywhere. It was on commercials, TV shows, bedroom walls and my dreams. The NES restored home gaming into a new age of glory from the ashes of the Atari era. Check out the Thriftdweller take on the Nintendo.
