Thriftdweller is a core group of childhood friends documenting their retro video game collecting and other 90's related adventures! We often feature our friends on our videos and sometimes do music, but mostly games. We're trying to branch beyond that however.

The original Thriftdwellers consist of 2 people: Lester (The music guru) and Nate (The Video Game Collector). In this day and age where digital media is the wave of the future, we prefer the "tangible". Part of a growing trend (as noted w/ Vinyl Collectors or Retro Game Collectors), our mandate is to "Keep Physical Media Alive". Take the Blue Pill, join the Thriftdweller 1.0 world.

We originally began this blog as "The 204-Hip-Hop-Robo-Ninja-Zombie-Turtles". A place where 2 friends, with their common interest in collecting could share their thoughts as well as latest Thrift Store finds. We initially would blog about items and topics from the 90's, but have evolved to simply "The Thriftdweller's Blog". A forum where we discuss all items, from music, video games, culture and more. Anything relevant to us, and from our vantage point.

Why did I want to start a blog?
My inspiration; If my sister can write a blog about fashion designing and "things that are beautiful", can't I start one about things I find in thrift stores and things " I think are beautiful?"

Blogging was an idea that came to mind a couple of years ago, in fact I had a Hip-Hop review site. It didn't really go beyond 2 reviews, which were Wu-Tang's 36 Chambers album and Forever album. So I closed it down. NC wanted to make one, so I came along for the ride.
A little about myself. I love 90's hip-hop and music in general! Huge collector, gets bigger every week. Also everything that's 90's and 80's. Classic video games, particularly arcade games. Technology and so on. We need real Saturday morning cartoons back!
