DeBarge - Limited Edition Talent

Finally a box set worth owning for any fan of R&B. For those who don't know who DeBarge is, you will recognize most of their hits from songs like The Notorious B.I.G's One More Chance and 2Pac's I Ain't Mad At Cha. DeBarge was a family R&B group on Motown Records in the early to mid 80's. El, Randy, Bunny, Mark and James DeBarge rose to super stardom with their soft singing and ability to write great and timeless classics. Sadly, Motown wanted to market El DeBarge as the next big thing, and started to distance himself from the rest of the family. Bunny ended up having one solo album after she left as well. For the rest of the brothers, they had one album after they left Motown with another DeBarge brother, Bobby. Who was in the group Switch, who were also signed to Motown in the mid to late 70's. He later died of complications from Aids in 1995, and the rest of the singing family are now suffering from addictions as well. After battling addicti

Sexy Time at the Joy House Auction, Winnipeg

Posted by nesn8 and d.cypher A "what" kind of family?  Sold for $10 Thirsty's Auction House - Jan 24 2012, 1900hrs. There were many personal heroes here tonight. Artist Leo Mol, Nintendo, Wolverine... even Vince Carter and Kobe Bryant... Yes, I know Nintendo is not a person, and "Yes" those people were NOT actually there, but a fair representation of them and many other items were on hand at tonight's auction. With such a diversity of items and a full house (as full as thirsty's can actually get), we needed all the help we could get, so we recruited out friend Poppa P to help us out. How did we do? Well, we did snag some unusual stuff, judging by that 7up ad, who knows what we got? Let's examine the night...

Amy Amy Amy

What can I say, I love Amy Winehouse. In fact this is probably the most complete collection of her material. You may ask, hey what's that book doing there? Actually it's not a book. It's a 4 CD limited edition deluxe box set of Frank and Back To Black UK deluxe edition CD's! The box set has all the songs from her first two albums and 2 bonus discs that includes B-Sides, remixes, unreleased songs and covers like Monkey Man (which is a great song by the way). Apparently I'm missing the US version of Back To Black which has the remix of You Know I'm No Good with Wu-Tang Clan's very own Ghostface Killah. It's something not to worry about, as the song is featured on his album More Fish . She had style like no other. Watch the concert, it's great on Blu-Ray and even though she can't dance. It's really funny how she plays with her hair and drink "pop" at the same time during the concert and still KILLS it. - d.cypher L

Mario's Golden Coin = $450.00 USD?

Value Village Find Today at the Thrift, we found a factory sealed Super Mario Land 2 for the Gameboy for $4.99. A good start to the Thrifting Year!

Too bad this wasn't sealed....

Posted by d.cypher (aka "LP") TMNT IV: Turtles In Time SNES Remember the time when this game came out and you were begging your parents to purchase it for you? Well, almost 20 years later we found a boxed copy that was mint and in great shape considering that it wasn't even sealed. Anyways, this was found a local flea market here in Winnipeg. It will set you back $60. Fair price? You decide. The game itself is freakin' awesome, so that in itself is priceless. Graphics were mind blowing then, it still is awesome today. Now, only if they did a proper Ninja Turtles game today.
