Mario 64 Multiplayer?

I loved Mario 64. Great Times! But now in multiplayer? What you talkin' bout, Willis?" In ROM HACK world news, a patch is now available for download that lets you play Mario 64 multiplayer via emulation over the internet. If you've ever DREAMED of this, I guess it's your lucky day. The description in the video on YouTube shows you the link on how to download and apply the patch, for free. They do ask for donations, but it's not manditory (which is super cool and MAKES me want to donate). These re-programers of video games seem to give a voice to hardcore retro gamers as well as breathing new life into old favourties. Check out the video, it's a cool concept in our books! Gameplay footage after the jump!

The Turtles are Back! Cowabunga!

Cowabunga... Dudes! Up for another run at greatness, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) have returned in CG glory on Nickelodeon (or YTV for us Canadians). 2 months in, the series have established themselves, but have they shown they have what it takes to return the green machine back to it's former glory? Also after the jump, a COMPLETE version of the First Episode, just in case you need to catch up!

For Sale: Rarest Atari Game Found in Storage?

Air Raid Complete in box. $30000? It's possible! Imagine your parents are sitting on a holy grail of videos in storage for years and didn't even know it. That's what happened to one US family who decided to put it up for auction. The rare game "Air Raid" for the Atari 2600 was recently put up for auction on the popular video game auction website Game Gravel. Only 12 copies are known to exist, and they're all in collector's hands. This specific copy is Complete in a pristine box with the ONLY KNOWN MANUAL in existance. Since the first boxed copy of the game sold for $30000+ dollars, this one is expected to break that record. Only time can tell, we'll check back in a few days after this auction is completed. (as of today, it's over $15000 w/ 8 days to go!) Source: www.retrocollect.com

Planet of the Apes -"Give it a chance people!"

Planet of the Apes $7.99 (Salvation Army Thrift Store) After finishing watching a recent thrift store find of the Planet of the Apes (POTA) Complete Series, I find myself “urning for more”. Based   on the multiple movies of the same name, POTA only   aired September 13 1974 to December 20, 1974 on CBS, spanning a mere 14 episodes. Much like Star Trek the Original Series, I feel like the series was cancelled prematurely, and I find myself wondering “what could have been?”

Quick Album Thoughts: The Birthday Massacre - Hide And Seek (2012)

The Birthday Massacre Hide And Seek is The Birthday Massacre's newest album released this month, and is nothing but pure excellence from not only a great band. But a Canadian band at that!
