Nintendo Wii Motion Plus for $3.99 found at Value Village. I don't know if it was a screw up from an employee as the Motion Plus attachment was in the rubber sleeve. It may have been overlooked when they put it out on the floor. Nintendo did release Motion Plus controllers, only time will tell if the attachments are sought out for in the future.

Friend of the show Eli, graced our channel by unboxing a factory sealed Nintendo Power Get With It Kit so that everyone can know for sure what a 100% Complete in Box kit should include! (Reference pictures after the jump!)

Diamond Select Toys Premiere Collection  Written by Nate  I just finished my video review of the resin statue of the Merc with a Mouth, the VIP of the Fox Marvel Movie-verse - DEADPOOL (My Inve$tables Rating Score after the jump)

by Nate I recently completed my review of this Cable Resin Statue from Diamond Select Premiere Line. Not only was I in awe at the quality and detail in this piece, but my Inve$tables Rating Score (IR$) also scored a 10/10. This is how it breaks down... ( Inve$tables Rating Score after the jump)

Written by Nate So on my personal YouTube page ( Nate's Reviews ) I've decided to create an "Investables Rating Scale" ( Investables = Investment + Collectables ) as my current collecting focus is to purchase collectables that will eventually be gifted to my children, but which I plan to enjoy until then. I formulated this weighted rating system to somewhat qualitatively rate these "Investables" as follows:

Some things have changed since having this Mega Man Protoman Buster from ThinkGeek. I was very giddy and excited when opening this product. It looked and sounded great, the size was a feast for the eyes and displayed very well. At $50 compared to the $100 original price, I thought this was a great deal, but in retrospect, I think $50 is probably the correct MSRP it should have had at launch. So I retract a bit that statement of "great deal". It's still a solid product, but after the excitement wore off, I think i'm just very content with it in my possession as opposed to very happy. Overall, well crafted and fairly priced product. It really took me back and pulled all those nostalgia heart strings deep inside. Remember to check out the unboxing and review reaction video!

Pop Vinyl Funko Mega Man Figures! Worth getting? Let me tell you something....

It's true! I am thinking of killing off Monday Nitro Pickups as I stated in our latest pick up video. The main reason was that I was trying to figure out what I could do that would re-energize my motivation to make content and it felt like I had to let go of this because it became to comfortable. Now our exact plans for next season may not be complete yet, but you'll have to check us out next season to see what we've come up with. Thanks for everyone who supported us on YouTube through the years! Happy Holiday Season! -n8

As another year passes and we move on to season 6 next year, we realize how much life seems to be pulling us away form YouTube. I think we have grown as people and brothers in Thriftdweller, but you wouldn't know it from our videos.  There is a saying that goes, when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at begin to change . Perhaps that's what season 5 has provided us? Rather than seeing life as pulling us away from our beloved "thrftdweller", maybe we need to think what held us there in the first place? The landscape has really changed, and when one looks at what this year has brought, you could think our motivation has really wavered. There is a lot that runs through our minds of what to do next year, and to be honest, I'm excited to see what we come up with after our annual winter break. Hope to see you there! -n8

We take the Karcamo KarcaClone challenge! This was so much fun, I just wanted to post this here and say it was fun! It's also funny, wearing the face paint, I felt this feeling of freedom. A disguise almost released any apprehension and, like a "real actor", they're raw, they bare it all in from of the lens. I want to explore this more. Acting classes? Maybe.... until then, check the video! Thanks! -n8

"The journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step." -Lao Tzu Remember when you set out to collect all those retro games? What was your goal? Some of us just wanted those personal favourites, some of us were more ambitious, but this guy may take the 8-bit cake! Fellow YouTube Retro Game Blogger "The Last Gamer" recently posted on his Facebook page  this picture where he has completed a collection of the original Nintendo Entertainment System video game library, both licenced and unlicensed. If you look at the picture, it looks like at least every game is boxed if not complete with manuals...

You have 5 seconds.... create something that didn't exist before! GO! Did you come up with something? Being creative isn't easy. it may sound easy, but that's because your idea probably isn't truly original. If you think about, everything in existence was put there by one man (or whatever God figure you believe in), so maybe everything we think we create is really derived from the original creator of all things (Putting to question, how can anything we create be original?).  Regardless, a god of retro video game video creation,  The Angry Video Game Nerd (AVGN) has been making original content for over 10 years, putting his own flare into classic video games via his persona of The Angry Video Game Nerd . In an era where every channel has a "rare games" or "hidden gems" list, AVGN approached making video content about classic gaming from his own unique perspective and style, creating something truly his own. This video shows how much actu...

Unexpectedly joined by Ian and Lester on the Nate and Noah Show Ep 2 - We discuss Batman Vs. Superman, Transformer G1 Pickups, Moive Pickups and the live chat crew helped to make this show awesome! Thanks to everyone who tuned in and thanks to Noah for his dedication to this project!

At Thriftdweller, we've decided to commit to more live videos via YouTube and Twitch. There is some trepidation to beginning to go live, as we don't have a following like others who consistently have tons of live viewers tune in to participate and help make their shows better! However, the old adage of the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step, we hope to continue to grow and learn more about "going live" as we feel it adds a natural spontaneity as well as helps provide more content frequently. Thanks for the support! Going beyond the video games, The Nate and Noah show will be a live show going forth! Check it out on our YouTube page!

We are currently re-constructing the blog website! Stay tuned and please check us out: YouTube: Thriftdweller Facebook: Thriftdwellers Twitter: @Thriftdweller Instagram (Nate): @thriftdwellernate

It's on like Donkey Kong!

Given that the Wii U already had it's release at the end of 2012, I am expecting for 2013 to be the year of blowout used Wii games. Most people had already written off the console way before Wii U was even launched, causing many titles to be over looked. There are indeed some hidden gems for this forgotten console, and I am hoping to snatch them all in 2013 (on the cheap). So I have prepared a "Wii Wanted List" of titles for my collection, and you should too (The plan of attack, Jack!).  THE TOP 3 Wii MUST OWN GAMES and the rest of my Wii Wanted List. Not necessarly all the BEST Wii titles, but at least games of interest. Wii Wanted List (After the jump)
