1980's Nintendo Sign for Auction - Winnipeg MB

I helped Mario save Princess in 1992, but could I save Nintendo in 2012? Febuary 7 was another winnipeg auction in the books. We spent the night watching Big Daddy Taz (comedian) dominate the crowd, but our mission was one of one of stealth. A sexy 1980's Nintendo sign was up for auction, the Thrift Dwellers did their best to save it from anyone who tried to defile her... We also tried to save the Ghostbuster's power pack, ET and Comic Books... were we successful?

A WINNER IS YOU!
Little Mac beats Tyson, Mario beats Bowser, Link takes Gannon and now....Nate takes Nintendo (funny the guy who bid against me kind of looked like Tyson, Bowser and Gannon!). I wasn't going home without this. My hand calmly stayed in the air as the price went up to $80. I had to have her, In the words of JayZ = Money ain't a thang.
Shout out to LP, Poppa P, Dean and Jeff were in attendance for this victory.

Say hello to my little friend....
1980's Nintendo Sgn - won for $82.50 (I couldn't believe it went this high either)
The sign is about 3 feet by 1 foot. There's some glue on the back, but this one is hollow. Maybe pasted to something, but I remember this hung from the celing at the store. I haven't figured out where and how to hang this thing, but come back soon to find out... also check out the rest of the auction below. btw, This is all we won.

Welcome Home baby!
Poppa P welcoming the sign home...

The Rest of the Auction Picture Blog
Feb 7 2012 - 1900hrs.
You know you're a regular when the owner knows you buy name... or maybe it's because we're the only ones bidding on the dumbest stuff. Regardless, our second auction was great. We noted  comicbooks tend to do well, there was a Wolverine vol 2 no.1  that sold for $20. We should try to put something in the auction that we find in the thrift store and see how it does. Now that is post all in itself. Until then, please enjoy pictures from this auction.
Also, check out our first auction, excuse the poor blog... the site was still under construction.
A fresh auction.... time to wreak some havoc.
Danger zone! (we're actually really nice... but it's game face time)

My Top 3 Loved Worn Nike Dunks

In honour of this past Lover's day, I have 3 of my most loved, worn (not new) Nike Dunks from my collection. Brand new, these kicks can be worth b/w $250 - $350, mainly because they are sold out, and only available through Nike Select SB dealers in the first place. If you see these at the thrift store, pick them up, I've read of kids finding Dunk SBs and even early JORDANS and selling them to Japan for hundreds... Not bad for $10 investments.... So gather round as we discuss more shoes... and hopefully you can become a little smarter "thrifter." (also check out my previous Dunk Post - Avengers )
