I've Made my Wii Wanted List, Have You?

Given that the Wii U already had it's release at the end of 2012, I am expecting for 2013 to be the year of blowout used Wii games. Most people had already written off the console way before Wii U was even launched, causing many titles to be over looked. There are indeed some hidden gems for this forgotten console, and I am hoping to snatch them all in 2013 (on the cheap). So I have prepared a "Wii Wanted List" of titles for my collection, and you should too (The plan of attack, Jack!).

THE TOP 3 Wii MUST OWN GAMES and the rest of my Wii Wanted List.

Not necessarly all the BEST Wii titles, but at least games of interest.

Don't Worry Wii, Wii We Still Love You!

"The best time to buy something, is when it's unappreceated and under-valued" -N8

I've already began snatching some Wii titles recently, including Trauma Centre, Mad World and Monster Hunter Tri (You can check out the Youtube Channel for the latest pickups), so those won't obviously be on my list, but if I have overlooked a gem, please comment.

Top 3 Wanted Wii Titles (That I don't have).

3) Xenoblade Chronicles (XC)
Released in every other region except N.America until April 2012, Xenoblade Chronicles was an addition to the Xeno Series (which also included Xenosaga and Xenogears released on previous consoles) and recieved excellent world wide acclaim, ranking it 3rd on the highest rated games of all time on the Wii, fitting becase it is #3 on my list. However, seeing that this game is currently $100 online new, XC's cheapest days may have been when it was originally released.

2) Zelda Skyword Sword
Now this game suffers from the same affliction as other Nintendo IPs (Intellectual Properties)... They take FOREVER to price drop, if ever at all. I wouldn't be suprised if this games stayed in the $50 range (new) well into the WiiU lifecycle. Released at the tail end of the 2012, it was a well recieved game in 2012, many say "Wii Game of the Year". Being it's a "Zelda' title alone makes it a must have, I predict a long wait before adding this game to my collection (c'mon, i'm cheap).

1) The Last Story
I'm sensing an RPG theme to my Wanted List here, but regardless, Last Story is suppose to be a great JRPG, which again, is rare to have a great RPG on the Wii. In retrospect, all 3 of these titiles listed could be interchanged w/ one another, but I've anticipated the coming of Last Story longer than my other picks, making my #1 a personal, hence bias selection. This game looks fantastic in previews. I was contemplating buying this game new in 2012, but choose to wait for 2013 in hopes of a price drop. Still $40 at the local video game store, I'm anxiously awaiting these to show up in the Used Bin! Seems people like to hold on to this title.

  1. I wish I can be as thrifty as you. I tend to buy games in bulk from fellow collectors, spending several hundreds in the process. Good Wii list though. Keep up the good work!

Nintendo Wii Motion Plus for $3.99 found at Value Village. I don't know if it was a screw up from an employee as the Motion Plus attachment was in the rubber sleeve. It may have been overlooked when they put it out on the floor. Nintendo did release Motion Plus controllers, only time will tell if the attachments are sought out for in the future.
