Vintage Adidas Bag - Still Stylin'

Artsy

Check it out. My wife found these hot vintage Adidas bags. I love old things that still have function in today's world. If this bag could talk, what would it say? What would it's history be? How many smelly gym clothes has it held? *ya, we cleaned them before use. Adidas began making bags before anything else since 1948...

A Little History...
Ever since Adolf Dassler created Adidas in 1948, it has transitioned over the decades to remain relevant and innovative. The 3 stripped logo has graced the shoes of Muhammad Ali, the track suits of RUN DMC all the way to the closet of the Thrift Dwellers via Salvation Army.  Funny enough, originally, Adidas began by making bags, and in the 70's and 80's, including these gym bags.

Ebay $50 - $150
Navy / Red Adidas Gym Bag - (Salvation Army) $10
Ebay $50 - $75
How We Got Them...
My wife and I found these bags years ago at the Thrift and haven't seen any other ones since. Their unique colorway and design immediatly caught our eye. According to the writing inside, the red and blue bag was owned by Lucas... "Hey Lucas, I found your bag." No tears, good condition, very nice.

Impressions
These bags are a reflection of classic design with quality and styling that can't be matched by today's standards. In the era of cheaply made bottom dollar design, there is a growing market for these vintage Adidas bags. I can imagine an 80's kid in matching track suit rocking this bag hard. RJ perhaps?

Final Thoughts...
Adidas has made many types of bags in the 70's and 80's...  air liners, tennis bags and these types of gym bags. A quick search on ebay will turn up a hand full of Adidas vintage bags anywhere from $50-$150, and worth every penny I would say. What they sell for is a different story. For now, my wife uses these as her gym/yoga bags. Style never gets old, just classic.

Nintendo Wii Motion Plus for $3.99 found at Value Village. I don't know if it was a screw up from an employee as the Motion Plus attachment was in the rubber sleeve. It may have been overlooked when they put it out on the floor. Nintendo did release Motion Plus controllers, only time will tell if the attachments are sought out for in the future.
